When to Crack Fill:

At Baldoni Construction we use a hot pouring crack filler that heats up rubberized asphalt and applies the material deep into the asphalts cracks. Crack filling is an essential part in prolonging the life of your asphalt. Leaving cracks untreated will cause cracks to spread, grow, and speed up the deterioration of your asphalt.

Crack filler is best when applied to long, deep, narrow cracks that only have minimal branching. If you have any questions or want a free estimate click the button below.

When to Patch:

The main factors that lead to major damage in asphalt are:

  • Weather (rain, changing temperatures, snow, etc.)

  • General use (cars and trucks)

  • Lack of maintenance (not repairing cracks, potholes, etc.)

When cracks have a lot of branches, they are often called alligator cracks and typically aren't fixable by using just crack filler. Using only crack filler will leave the section looking messy and may only result in a short term fix. When sections in the asphalt have these 'alligator' cracks, pot holes, or settling - asphalt patching is necessary to fix that section.

Patching involves the process of cutting/cleaning out the damaged section and replacing that section with a fresh layer of asphalt. This will result in a clean look and provides a cost effective way to preserve the life of your road without spending thousands of dollars replacing the whole driveway or lot.
